Strengthening the RA Program, Year After Year

Their responses reflect a consistent sense of connection, collaboration, and support across Graduate Housing. RAs shared that they felt well-integrated within their communities, confident in their ability to assist residents, and appreciative of the teamwork that shaped their experience.

Many RAs emphasized how much they valued working closely with fellow assistants and staff members, building relationships with residents, and contributing to a welcoming environment. They also described significant personal and professional growth, developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that they will carry far beyond their time at Rice.

As we move forward, we remain committed to learning from each cohort and incorporating their insights into the continued development of the RA Program. Their experiences guide our efforts to strengthen community-building, reinforce support systems, and provide meaningful opportunities for leadership within Graduate Housing. We are grateful for the dedication of our RAs and look forward to supporting future teams as they help our residents thrive at Rice.
